Seeing Through Walls

In this situation, our customers had a pipe to bust  in their kitchen causing water to move in to two of their bedrooms and their living room. These home owners decided to attempt to take care of the drying on their own. Like most people outside of the industry, they did not know that water can seep up walls if not dried properly.

The walls sat there wet for several days when the home owners noticed a musty smell every time they walked in to their home. They finally decided to call in our team of professionals to come and assess where the smell could be coming from.

After hearing that they had a previous water loss, our production technician grabbed his thermal imaging camera and saw right away that there was still water trapped inside of this wall. Fortunately, it hadn’t seeped up too high. We were able to remove the base board and small amount of drywall to ensure proper drying.
